Triple P (Positive Pareting Program) is a hands-on learning program developed in Australia and implemented in more than 25 countries around the world. It was created for the prevention and treatment of behavioral and emotional problems in children from infants to teenagers (specifically 2 to 12 years old). There are 17 techniques introduced in the program, more than half of which focus on forming positive relationships, attitudes and behaviors between parents and children. The goal of Triple P is to prevent children’s problems before they occur in their homes, schools and communities, and to create a child-rearing environment that encourages children to reach their full potential. Based on years of research and clinical trials, Triple P has been adopted by governments, health departments or national experts in more than 25 countries, as I mentioned earlier. How parents perceive various problems such as child development and behaviors of concern, what kind of relationship they have to improve the child’s problems, and whether the child’s development is promoted well.
